Dub Meeting returns for the third chapter of an ongoing series celebrating the lineage of Jamaican sound system culture and its global evolution through reggae, dancehall, jungle, dubstep, and modern bass music.
What began in 1970s Kingston—towering speaker stacks, dub plates, live MC vocals, and crowd interaction—became the blueprint for underground bass culture worldwide. Rub-a-dub was the turning point:
the bridge between roots reggae, early dancehall, and modern MC culture. From that DNA came jungle, drum & bass, dubstep, grime, and future bass.
Dub Meeting: Rub A Dub Dance Pt. 3 celebrates that continuum — honoring the originators while connecting foundation culture to the future of sound system music.
